In a significant move to bolster grassroots support for the Renewed Hope administration, Honourable David Idris Zacharias, the member representing Idah Federal Constituency was on Thursday formally inaugurated as the National coordinator of all State Coordinators and Kogi State Coordinator of the “Relax, Tinubu is Fixing Nigeria” (RTIFN) support group.

The ceremony, held at the Youth House in Abuja, was attended by prominent members of the group’s national leadership, party stalwarts, and a handful of supporters from Kogi State.

The group’s structure features high-profile leadership, with Barrister Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as its Founder in Chief; Comrade Bala Mohammed serving as the National Chairman; Senator Alphonsus Igbeke as its Patron; and Dr. Ramotu Tijani Aliyu (former Minister of State for FCT) as the Matron.

In his acceptance speech, Hon. Zacharias, pledged to embark on an aggressive grassroots mobilization to disseminate what he termed the “verifiable achievements” of President Tinubu’s government. He framed his new role as a critical bridge between the administration and the people of Kogi State.

“Our mandate is clear: to enlighten our people from the urban centres to the remotest villages in Nigeria that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is fixing Nigeria,” in the language that the man at the grassroots understands, Zacharias declared. “We must counter the wave of misinformation with the facts of progress.”

During his address, Zacharias itemised key achievements of the Tinubu administration. He specifically pointed to reforms in the financial sector aimed at stabilising the economy, ongoing infrastructure projects across the nation, and what he described as “bold, long-overdue decisions” to restructure the country’s economic framework for sustainable growth.

“The President’s policies, though initially challenging, are designed for the long-term health of our nation. From the reforms in the oil sector to the commitment to food security, we are laying a new foundation,” Zacharias stated, urging citizens to exercise patience and maintain trust in the government’s vision.

Dr. Ramatu Tijani Aliyu CON, the matron, who presided over the inauguration on behalf of Barr Seyi Tinubu, expressed unwavering confidence in Zacharias’s ability to deliver the group’s mission. He described the new appointee as a “grassroots mobiliser of unparalleled repute,” She said.

Similarly, Senator Alphonsus Igbeke tasked the new national coordinators to swing into action and spread the good news of the Renewed Hope Agenda, noting that the President’s effort in reviving the economy has helped in the reduction in price of food stuffs in the markets.

The event also featured solidarity messages from representatives of the group’s patrons, with attendees reaffirming their commitment to supporting the President’s “Renewed Hope” agenda.

Analysts view the strengthening of the “Relax, Tinubu is Fixing Nigeria” group, with its deep-rooted leadership and state-level appointments, as a strategic effort to consolidate pro-government narratives and galvanise support ahead of future electoral contests.

Hon. Zacharias concluded with a call for unity, urging all Nigeria to join the movement and support the ongoing efforts to build a more prosperous Nigeria.
