Zacharias Trains, Empowers Women, Youths, Farmers on Mechanized Farming

In line with the renewed hope agenda of president Ahmed Tinubu in fighting food insecurity in the country, the member representing Idah Federal Constituency, Hon. David Idris Zacharias has trained and empowered more than four hundred and sixty (460) constituents on mechanized farming.

The lawmaker who is also the chairman House Committee on FCT Judiciary was represented by his Senior Legislative Aide, Hon. Rilwanu Momoh who described the initiative as the unsurpassable means of transforming the shaky economy of the country.

According to him, “one of the best and fastest way to tackle food insecurity and the economic challenges of the present day is through human capital development and serious investment in the agricultural sector such as this. We are in a world where skills are on high demand globally rather than just a degree and so it becomes imperative to address the major issue of unemployment through this scheme.”

Mr Momoh also emphasize on the need for the people to cooperate with the government in this trying time while noting that they are a lot of incentives and programs by the Federal government to come in the next few weeks or months.

The program which covered the four local government areas of Idah Federal Constituency is expected to deliver a sizable number of food produce to the market.

The participants expressed their gratitude to the lawmaker noting that for a long time they have been marginalized until his administration came to their rescue while assuring him of their total support.

However, stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress (APC) from the Constituency express confidence in the lawmaker over his scorecard within the short period of time in his second term while reassuring him of their unalloyed support to deliver even in the coming local government council elections.
