…says his govt. will deploy strategic thinking in key sectors

Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress at the forthcoming general election, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on Kogi state citizens and those within the North Central region to vote for him promising that his government would ensure the full functioning of the Ajaokuta Steel Company which he attested would be a prosperous venture for the people and the entire nation.

Sen. Bola Tinubu also expressed that his government when elected would deploy strategic thinking in key sectors including Agriculture, Mineral resources, industrial development, technology and others stating that he was willing to work tirelessly to guarantee the prosperous inheritance of the future generation.

Senator Bola Tinubu made these pledges on Wednesday when he attended the APC Kogi state Presidential rally which was held at the confluence stadium lokoja. The Party flag bearer alongside his running mate Senator Kashim Shetima and State Governors from neighbouring states were greeted by mammoth crowds of supporters who filled the stadium to its full capacity.

The party flag bearer noted that he remained the only amongst other crop candidates with the requisite track record and blessed by God with knowledge, intellect and vision to be able to identify, accommodate and bring together a team of those who can work together towards achieving a common goal.

While making comments on the recent Supreme Court judgment restraining the Federal Government from effecting the Feb 10 deadline of the old naira note, Senator Bola Tinubu said as a son of a market woman, he understood the pain which the well intentioned policy was having on the common man, alluding that with the ruling of the Apex court, both currency will exist in the system and ease the stress experienced by the average Nigerians who needs cash daily.

The Presidential candidate echoed that his administration has brought renewed hope to the country noting that Nigeria’s togetherness despite differences in tongue and tribe was well intentioned by God and not a mistake owing to our distinctive attributes and abundant resources hence we must learn to cohabit peacefully together in a bid to ensure that these advantages worked in everyone’s interest.

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello while making his remark noted that the candidate’s visit to the state was just mere formalities and not necessarily for campaign noting that Kogi was 100% for the All Progressive Congress and the people would elect him massively. He added that the state would churn out the highest percentage of votes for the APC presidential candidate when compared to other states irrespective of their size.

While also addressing the Supreme Court judgment on the old naira note, the governor said their Presidential candidate has been vindicated against some elements who decided to use a well intentioned policy by President Muhammadu Buhari to inflict pain on the masses and de-market the All Progressive Congress. He added that such was the person of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who would always speak and when given the opportunity act against anything that would inflict pain on the people

Speaking earlier during the Presidential candidate’s brief stop at the Kogi State Government House to interface with the Kogi State Traditional Council, the Ohimege Igu of Koton-Karfee, Alhaji Abdulrasaq Isah Koto on behalf of the State’s Traditional Council expressed that the APC flag bearer is a man of great impact.

He alluded that the foundation he laid in Lagos has undeniable set the city on the path of the current development it was currently witnessing while adding that the Traditional rulers in the state had come to offer prayers for the success of the party’s candidate and God’s enablement for him to be able to achieve the nation’s desires.
