‘2023 Presidency And Yahaya Bello’s Inordinate Ambition’ – A Rejoinder By Elder Omale Ben

While the National Coordinator of the GYB2PYB Youth Support Group, Amb. Oladele John Nihi is a household name in the Nigerian Youths Constituency, the Group is operating at a pedestal of existence and operating in the entire 36 States and the FCT of Nigeria. It is therefore, a suicidal show of ineptitude and quackery for the author to be among the flock of information disseminators in our clime.

The “exemplary leadership of Yahaya Bello as the incumbent Governor in Kogi State” are as glaring to be ignored. Let it be put clearly, that ambitions do not affect performance. Of course, it would rather inject performance so as to impress and convince the electorates. We shouldn’t be misguided by ‘Nigerian Factor’ to distort global human templates.

If a group, Kogi State Youth Renaissance (KSYR) raised an alarm over ‘…poor governance and….quality of quality has been reduced to its poorest state’ under Governor Yahaya Bello, they depict the true picture of being sponsored by disgruntled and disgraced and shoved political ingrates of Kogi State. If the State being acknowledged and applauded for an overwhelming inclusion of Women, Youths and People Living With Disabilities, PLWDs in governance can be so criticized, some rot in the brains must be smelling. It is yet hard to believe that the KSYR is actually a youth organization existing in Kogi State. While their Chairman, Hassan Mohammed must be angrily politicizing and trivializing issues here; we should exercise caution when generalizing matters simply because we are in the opposite side of the programme.

In-as-much as I am not here to defend or praise Governor Yahaya Bello, conscience demands that we must be fair to issues to avoid unnecessary repercussions of boomerang and karmic wheel of life. Governor  White Lion Bello, even for the youthful dispositions and stance on state and national security matters alone, must be highly appreciated and commended.

Since this publication surfaced on March 27, 2021 to now, I wish to believe that the author and his cohort sources must have lamented their hasty exposure of bad-belle to the world. They must be wondering what uncommon peculiarities and aura make the person of a Yahaya Bello, who’s native name of Adoza (Father Of All) is already hauntingly playing out. As Father Of Kogi State already, what is providence having as the checker towards 2023?

It is hereby instructive to be wary of the bundled expressions by both Senator Dino Melaye (compulsorily retired) and Dickson Ocholi of PDP (Kogi State) as polarized as ever. Let’s hope that it is not just because Governor Yahaya Bello is on the APC platform, that the PDP stooges are the ones spearheading the campaign of calumny.

One message to be sunk into the brains of Dino Melaye and Dickson Ocholi is this:
While APC and PDP are the main political gladiators in the State (and be extension, Nigeria), the larger populations out there who do not belong to any of them are also electorates and political stakeholders both in Kogi State and the Nigerian Nation.

The larger populations out there are also watching and seeing and endorsing Yahaya Bello on this new wave of political development, from within the State and across the wider scope of Nigeria to the diaspora. Let’s leave the sense of judgement and choice of candidature for every single position be left open to the public. Our personal ambitions, perspectives and idiosyncrasies must not be forced on others to either confuse or convince them…
