NGO hails Bello, lawmakers for “Youth Commission Law”
A Non governmental organization in Kogi State, Hands Across Africa Development Initiative, has commended the Kogi State lawmakers and Governor Yahaya Bello for the Kogi State Youth Development Commission Law.
The NGO also said it was impressed by the various youth developmental innovations across the state.
In a chat with InsideStory, the Executive Director, Comrade Umar Dan’Assabe Muhammed Cornelius, said the commission would prioritize youth development issues in the state.
Dan’Assabe said, “It is a good development and we like to commend the House of Assembly for passing the Bill, as well as the governor for signing it into law.
“As a member of the advocacy cluster that pushed for the law, we are delighted to witness it come to reality.
We have been at the forefront of the advocacy to clearly define and redirect youth development issues in the state and it is gratifying that the Governor being a young man also understands this.”.
We commend the legislators, especially the sponsor of the bill Hon. Ahmed Mohammed for their steadfastness in seeing this bill through. We look forward to a robust implementation of the law”. He said
