Onoja, brain behind Igala Unity House completion – Echocho

The Chief of Staff to the Kogi State Governor, Hon. Edward Onoja has been described as the arrow head that brought about the successful completion of the “Igala Unity House.”

The Senator Representing Kogi East at the Red Chamber, Alhaji Isah Jibril Echocho made the remark at the commissioning of the Unity House in Anyigba on Saturday.

Senator Echocho said the Chief of Staff had broken record by championing and mobilising others to ensure the age long project which was a shadow of itself became a reality adding that the successful completion of the project has proven many wrong.

“This edifice will outlive us. When we started this project people thought we were not going to finish it. I commend Ahmed Attah, the Kogi East Zonal Coordinator, the President of ICDA for all the humiliation you suffered in the course of this project. You have written your names in gold.

“I’m glad to be a part of this history making event. Your Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello you have proven to the Igalas you love them. We will reward you very soon in the way and manner it will astonish the people,” he added.

Earlier, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Edward Onoja who described the event as “a day of gratitude” added that the completion of the unity house was the foundation of a new phase and the rebirth of the greatness of Igala people.

Hon. Onoja said a new Igala kingdom that would bury the old ways of segregations and pull him down syndrome she was known for has been given birth to by the present administration of Governor Bello which integrates all.

He described the people of Igala nation as a sincere people who do not pay evil for good and expressed gratitude to everyone who gave towards the completion of the house.

“I’m grateful to every government official who sacrificially contributed for a period of eight months to support this project, the Speaker and all the House of Assembly Members, our Royal father, and all the sons and daughters of Igala.”

“To my boss, Governor Yahaya Bello, I will continue to remain loyal to him, because he has shown the Igala people an uncommon love. We shall further reciprocate this gesture in the November governorship election, we are not deceivers,” he concluded.
