Abocho – Ojukpo Road; Kogi Gov’s aide on Student Affairs enumerates why community is head over heels in support of Gov Bello’s re – election
The Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Student Affairs, Hon Joshua Omonu says the people of his community, Ojukpo in Abocho Ward of Dekina LGA are overwhelmingly in love with Governor Yahaya Bello because he has remembered them for the first time since creation of Kogi State in 1991.
He stated this while speaking with Insidestoryng shortly after inspecting the ongoing construction of the long abandoned Abocho – Ojukpo road.
The aide who said only children of the area understood the plight of their people who are predominantly farmers and business men and women, said the road will create avenue for them to take their wares to Anyigba and other more established markets in Igalaland.
Hon Joshua stressed that the people of Ojukpo have never had government presence in their community since the creation of Kogi State, noting that it was in that light that they have resolved to back the Governor for a second term one hundred percent.
The road, he said, was the first they want done for them, knowing that it would assist in other sectors including electricity among others.
He had earlier told our correspondent that Governor Bello is a man with the heart of gold and dedication to ameliorate the sufferings of rural dwellers in the state.
Hon Omonu noted that his people have been wailing about their plight which have fallen on deaf ears until the assumption of office by the present administration.
He expressed appreciation to Governor Bello for giving opportunity to people that would otherwise be looked down upon, said the Governor is a Messiah with dedication to give everyone a voice according to their capacity.
While further expressing gratitude to the untiring efforts of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Edward Onoja for his demonstration of love for the entire Igalaland, promised that the people would not let the administration down.
