Gov Bello condoles Attah Igala over the death of Achadu – Attah, Chief Yusuf Ameh Adaji
Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has condoled the President, Kogi State Council of Traditional Rulers and Attah Igala, HRM Michael Ameh-Oboni II over the death of the Achadu – Attah, Chief Yusuf Ameh Adaji.
The Governor’s condolence was contained in a press statement released to journalists and signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Muhammed on Friday.
The statement said the Governor is deeply saddened by the death which he described as hurtful considering the significance the office of the Achadu plays in the Igala Traditional Institution.
Governor, therefore, said the death was a huge blow because the entire state and the country have lost a rare individual with a high level of importance to his loved ones and family especially and prayed God to grant him eternal rest.
He says; “I am deeply saddened by the death of the Achadu – Attah who was a man of high significance in all ramifications. My deepest condolences to the Attah Igala, his council of Chiefs and the entire Igala kingdom.
“I pray that the Almighty God grant the deceased eternal rest and to the family, fortitude to bear this huge loss. The people of the state and my government mourn,” he concluded.
Chief Yusuf Ameh – Adaji, a retired Assistant Commissioner of Police was born in 1938 in Ejule, Kogi State and is survived by his wife, many children and grandchildren.
