Gov. Bello charges new acting Chief Judge, President CCA on selfless service »

Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello on Wednesday charged Newly sworn in Chief Justice of Kogi State, Honourable Justice Henry Adebola Olusuyi and President Customary Court of Appeal, Justice Bayo Olusegun on selfless service to the cause of justice and humanity.

The Governor also asked both legal appointees to bring their considerable history as experienced jurists to bear in the administration of justice in the state stating that he was confident they would provide excellent leadership for the Judiciary and the state in general.

The governor made this known on Wednesday at Swearing in ceremony of the recently appointed judicial heads held at the Government House in Lokoja.

It would be recall that the state suffered the demise of Former Chief Judge, Justice Nasiru Ajanah and President of Customary Court of Appeal, Justice Shaibu Atadoga which necessitated the appointment of new officials.

Governor Bello paid tribute to the late jurists noting that they both taught the people that selfless service to society was how to become immortal in the hearts of fellow men.

He added that they both achieved a legacy that would long outlive them while he prayed that their good works should continue to speak for them in eternity.

Earlier in his address, the State’s Attorney General, Mohammed Sanni, SAN noted that although the death of the two former Judicial heads were painful, there was the need to fill existing vacuum.

He pointed out that the newly Appointed Judicial heads were men of reputable character and qualified experience for their new assignments.

In his vote of thanks, the newly sworn in, Acting Chief Judge, Justice Henry Adebola Olusuyi thanked the Governor for being a Rule of law complaint and for providing a suitable environment for the judiciary to perform their responsibilities.

He on behalf of his counterpart assured that they would perform their responsibility with fairness, justice and equity while he pleaded for continued support and collaboration from all.
