Kogi Deputy Governor congratulates new judiciary heads

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward Onoja has felicitated with Honourable Justice Henry Olusiyi on his swearing in today as the Chief Judge of Kogi State.

Chief Onoja who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary, Emmanuel Promise, hailed Justice Olusiyi as an excellent judicial officer whose career has been marked with the fearless and correct dispensation of justice.

The Deputy Governor also congratulated Honourable Justice Bayo Olowosegun who was sworn in today also as President of the Kogi State Customary Court of Appeal. Justice Olowosegun, according to Chief Onoja, is a brilliant jurist and defender of the poor and vulnerable.

He declared the appointment of the two jurists on July 3rd by Governor Yahaya Bello as well deserved while charging them to execute the sacred duties of their judicial offices with the fear of God and justice to all manner of men.

The Deputy Governor also praised his boss, the Governor of Kogi State, for filling the voids created by the sudden departure of the former occupants of the two offices without the acrimony which too often marks the same exercise in other states.
