‘Uphold the virtues of your father’, Edward Onoja urges late Atadoga’s children
The atmosphere was that of grief, with several family members looking sober as dignitaries, including the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward Onoja, friends and colleagues of the late President of Kogi State Customary Court of Appeal, Justice Ibrahim Atadoga Shuaibu troupe in to pay their last respect to the Jurist whom many described as upright and friendly.
In an emotional message, Chief Edward Onoja eulogized the late Jurist, describing him as a man with a pure heart who was always after the good of others.
He said his encounter with Justice Atadoga was brief but ‘spirit-filled’ as they both held hands in a solemn prayer session which yielded results that have remained unquestionable.
The Deputy Governor also praised the wife of the deceased, Mrs. Mary Shuaibu for her deep rooted faith in God.
“To his beloved wife, i can only say that your foundation and fellowship with your creator and master is an encouragement for many, even in the lowest periods of your life. I hope that other women, mothers emulate that spirit that radiates from within you’.
Edward Onoja also urged the children of the deceased to uphold the virtues of their late father by ensuring that they live a life that will continue to honor his memory.
He called for unity, love and understanding amongst the family, and to always put God first in all their dealings, just as the late Justice Atadoga did in his time.
