New SSA on students, Comrade Onimisi expresses gratitude for opportunity to serve

Newly appointed Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Students Matters, Comrade Isah Babangida Onimisi has expressed gratitude to Governor Yahaya Bello for the opportunity given him to serve the state.

He made the statement on Tuesday shortly after receiving his letter of appointment from the Office of the Secretary to the State Government in Lokoja.

Comrade Babangida said the appointment was a demonstration of confidence the current administration has in him, promising not to let the government down.

He said it was a familiar terrain to him, having served as the Coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Okene Local Government Chapter and Chairman of Coordinators Forum for Kogi Central until his appointment.

The appointee therefore expressed confidence in his ability to bring his wealth of knowledge to galvanise students of the state across all institutions in the country and create goodwill between them and government.

Comrade Babangida used the occasion to also express gratitude to the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pharmacist Abdulkareem Muhammad Jamiu Asuku and the former Chairman of Council for Kogi State University, Professor Adam O. Ahmed for their support towards his appointment.

He expressed his determination to work assiduously with stakeholders to ensure objectives of the New Direction Government was achieved in the area of Student Welfare and better working relationship with the youth in general.

As well as serving as the NYCN leader, Comrade Babangida was also the Personal Assistant to Professor Adam Ahmed during his time as Chairman of Council for the State University.
