Dr Ottah rejoices with Ibaji Lawmaker on Appeal Court Ruling
The Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Education, Science and Technology, Dr Gabriel Ottah, has extended a congratulatory message to the Member representing Ibaji State Constituency at Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon Atule Egbunu, on his victory at the Appeal Court.
The Court’s judgement affirmed him as the duly elected Member representing Ibaji at the state legislature.
By this ruling, the earlier judgement nullifying his election at the High Court has been set aside.
Dr Ottah, in his congratulatory remark, thanked those who stood by Hon Atule at the time of the legal tussle.
He described the judgement as light at the end of the tunnel for Hon Atule adding that the development imposes on him the harculean task of speaking for the area in order to bring about needed development to the people.
The Mass Communication scholar also called on all sons and daughters of Ibaji to always put sectional sentiments aside in fighting for the development of Ibaji, adding that as a people, Ibaji should resolve their political and other disputes as brothers.
He prayed God to guide Hon Atule Egbunu in the discharge of his legislative duties and called on the members of the APC in Ibaji to sustain their support for the Bello-led administration to attract the dividends of democracy to the area.
The Adviser used the occasion to applaud the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello for standing by the APC throughout the process, a gesture he urged the people to reciprocate by being loyal and supportive of government.
