Workers Day: Zacharias commend workers, urges diligence in service to nation
The member representing Idah federal constituency at the House of Representatives Abuja, Hon David Idris Zacharias, has congratulated workers in and from his constituency in commemoration of the 2021 International Workers’ Day celebration.
Zacharias in a message made available to journalists to mark the day, said despite the trying times in the country occasioned by the incessant cases of insecurity and other economic challenges, there is much to remember about the sacrifices made by Nigerian workers and reflect on the fact that many Nigerians are still out of job.
The lawmaker commended workers at all levels both private and public within his constituency and his constituents working outside the state in parts of Nigeria for their commitment and dedication to work over the years, which he said has shaped their families, the constituency and the country tremendously.
In his words, Zacharias said: “I want to salute your dedication and patriotic service over the years for always given your best to your work irrespective of the challenges that abound”.
Indeed, myself, the state and Nigeria are proud of you especially that your activities within the constituency has added value socially and economically with the hope that you will continue to sustain the peace enjoyed in the constituency.
“I urge also want to use this medium to urge you to please, to redouble your efforts at this time of our national development. You must continue to put in your best in the work that you do for the betterment of our constituency, Kogi State and Nigerian at large” He added.
The lawmaker called on Nigerian workers to be more productive now and always, saying what was achieved before now must be sustained and improved upon, bearing in mind that the issue of remuneration is always at the fore and he would use his position to make case for workers from time to time as the need arises.
While wising workers a spirit filled celebration with a charge on them to be proud of their works, Zacharias called for more dedication and patriotism from his constituents irrespective of their Labor Unions, saying the challenges of the moment will soon be over as the government is committed to the security of lives and properties of all Nigerians.
