Kogi Deputy Speaker reiterates commitment to alleviate plight of widows »

The Deputy Speaker of Kogi State and member representing Ankpa 1 constituency, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed has reiterated the commitment of the Kogi State Government to alleviate the suffering of widows in the state.

The Deputy Speaker stated this while receiving representatives of Widows Association from the 21 LGA area of Kogi State on a courtesy visit to the Kogi State House of Assembly Yesterday, 21st September 2021. He commend the women for always supporting the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello and advised the widows association to continually pray for the state to have more resources to achieve the vision of the “Stronger Kogi for women’’.

The leader of the widows while appreciating the Deputy Speaker on behalf of the women decried the plight of widows in the state and called for protection of widows. She appreciate the effort of Governor Bello for women inclusion in Government, while appealing for evolution of policies that concern them and their children.
