Gov Bello Wins The SUN 2020 Governor of The Year Award »

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, on Saturday evening, bagged an Award of Excellence as Governor of the Year at the 2020 Sun Awards.

The Sun Publishing Limited, publishers of Daily Sun, Saturday Sun, Sunday Sun, and Sporting Sun, conferred the Award on Governor Bello in line with its vision of recognizing men and women who have distinguished themselves in their respective endeavors with outstanding contributions to the development of the country.

State Deputy Governor, Chief (Dr.) Edward Onoja received the prestigious Award plaque on behalf of the Governor at the Expo Convention Centre, Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, amidst glist and glamour.

Other recipients are Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, Govs. Abdullahi Ganduje and Mai Mala Buni of Kano and Yobe States, respectively.

GMD, NNPC, Mall. Mele Kyari, actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo, CEO, Air Peace Airlines, Allen Onyema, and Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, Chairman, Pacific Holdings Limited, Mrs. Betty Akeredolu, wife of Ondo State Governor, Brig. Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa (retd), Chairman, NDLEA and Brig. Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim, DG, NYSC, and others, clinched various Awards at the event attended by dignitaries from all works of life.

Recall that Governor Bello has gained recognition for his sheer nationalist ideals, security, women empowerment, and youth inclusiveness in governance with calls on him to vie for Nigeria’s Presidency in 2023 to deepen his contributions to the political and socio-economic development of the country.
