Asuku @38: PAAYEF visits hospitals, reach out to neonates, others

The Pharmacist Abdulkareem Asuku Youth Empowerment Foundation on Sunday visited some hospitals in the eastern part of Kogi State to extend succour to in-patients on admission.

PAAYEF said the visit was part of the foundation’s lined up event to mark the birthday of it’s founder, Pharmacist Abdulkareem Asuku, by showing love to newborn children and their parents.

At the Zonal Hospital in Idah, the team, led by Hon. Sandra Mimi were received by the CMD. They met a woman in labor whose husband couldn’t afford hospital payments. PAAYEF paid her medical bills, donated several medical consumables to her and urged the hospital to give her adequate care. A visibly elated husband to the woman who was ful of praises for PAAYEF described their visit as divine.

Other patients also received packages from the team.

At the Kogi State University Teaching Hospital, Anyigba, where the CMD was also on ground to receive the team. In each of the wards, PAAYEF commiserated with the sick on their sick beds, one bed after another and prayed for their speedy recovery, saying. The Foundation also paid the medical bills of the patients.

The PAAYEF team also visited Ali Omaiza hospital, Rehoboth and Shifa Hospital in Lokoja.

Speaking at Rehoboth hospital in Lokoja where they met two newborn babies, PAAYEF Focal Person, Hon. Sandra Mimi said the team whose aim was to celebrate Pharmacist Asuku’s birthday anniversary with children born today, was elated to meet the babies who share the same birthday with the celebrant. She said the birth of a child which signifies a meet between mother and child has in a way aligned with the desire of Pharmacist Asuku to be reunited with his abducted mother, which she prayed to God to make happen very soon.
Several gift items were presented to the babies who were born to one Mr. and Mrs. Godwin, and Mr. and Mrs. Daramola respectively.

All the patients on admission as at the time of the visit, including men, women and children could not hide their joy and gratitude to Pharmacist Asuku for reaching out to them in their moments of needs and therefore applauded PAAYEF for touching their lives.
