Gov. Bello Receives Igbo Community Residing in Lokoja

… Says Kogi is home to all, regardless of tribe, religion

The Kogi State Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello hosted the leaders of Igbo community residing in Lokoja on Friday.

The Chief of Staff, Pharm. Abdulkareem Moh’d Jamiu, who received them on behalf of the Governor described the state as one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria, courtesy of the conscious effort of his principal Alh. Yahaya Bello.

He said Kogi is a home to all, regardless of tribe or religion. He noted that without peace and harmony there can’t be meaningful development.

He said Governor Bello being the de-tribalised leader he is, has appointed men and women of Igbo extraction, who are serving in the Yahaya Bello administration presently.

He commended the group for their immense support while urging them to continue to support the government at all times.

The group was led by the President of the Igbo community Lokoja, Chief Sunday Solomon Nwachukwu and Hon. Paul Ahamefuna Asobele, Former Senior Special Assistant on non- indigenes to the Governor of Kogi state.
