Gov. Bello visits home of bereaved Kogi NUJ chairman

The Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello on Saturday paid a condolence visit to the Chairman of the Kogi State Nigeria Union of Journalist, Comr Adeiza Momoh jimoh urging him to take heart and be strong for the sake of their children.

The governor in his condolences said he came to pay his last respect to Late Mallama Zainab Adeiza whose death as it’s pleased God Almighty happened despite the numerous efforts made to keep her alive.

He said “When I heard of the illness of your wife, I directed my personal physician to take charge while necessary financial commitments would be handled by myself. The late Mallama Zainab was billed to be the first patient to go through a surgery at the State Reference Hospital Okene, but death snatched her
away”.

Governor Bello acknowledged that death is inevitable and would always come for all mortals in its timing while he expressed the continued support of the government as well as colleagues of the NUJ chairman in such trying times

In his remarks, the NUJ Chairman, Comr. Adeiza Momoh Jimoh said the visit of the Governor would facilitate his and family’s recovery from the despondency the death of his wife has caused.

He added “I am short of words with your visit today, with what you did at the hospital through out the period you discovered my wife was ill, I would not have expected that you will visit my home”

He noted that he has not only lost his wife but a mother while he described his late wife as someone who always takes care of those in distress and rallied many children under her care.

The NUJ Chairman thanked the governor for the numerous efforts made during the period of his wife’s sickness up until the time of her demise noting that his good gestures was overwhelming.

In the entourage of the governor was the the All Progressives Congress State Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello, the Chief of Staff to the state government, Pharm. Abdulkareem Moh’d Asuku, Media Consultant to the state Governor, Dr. Yemi Kolapo and other media aides to the governor.

Special prayers were offered by the Chief of Staff, Pharm Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku, for the peaceful repose of the soul of the deceased, and for the family she left behind.
