Hayat Foundation, Osaseyi Foundation Partner Up for a Better Kogi
In a landmark moment, the Hayat Foundation and Osaseyi Foundation have come together to create a profound impact on the Kogi community. The partnership was formed after a chance encounter between the wife of governor Yahaya Bello, Barr. Mrs. Amina Oyiza Yahaya Bello, and the philanthropist, Hon. Richard Osaseyi. At the FIDA KOGI WEEK event, where Hon. Osaseyi spoke about protecting the girl child, the wife of the Governor recognized his outstanding work. Her Excellency, also the founder of the Hayat Foundation, emphasized the importance of education and empowerment for all children.
Inspired by Hon. Osaseyi’s dedication to paying tuition for public school students, Her Excellency held a meeting with the staff of the Osaseyi Foundation. During this gathering, she praised the Foundation’s vision and commitment to the education sector, pondering the positive impact it can have on the youth and politics as a whole.
She stressed the need for communities to follow suit and help the less privileged, highlighting her interest in replicating the Osaseyi Foundation’s programs throughout Kogi Central.
Consequently, the Hayat Foundation proposed a partnership between the two organizations, seeking to amplify their shared mission and values. This collaboration aims to extend their reach, increase sustainability, and deliver long-term impact.
The dedicated staff of both NGOs have been tasked with conducting a needs assessment in public schools across Kogi Central, as well as engaging with key stakeholders in the Education sector. Together, they hope to address pressing social and environmental challenges, ultimately building a better future for all.
