Princess Popoola Shakirat distributes bags of rice, cash to indigent women to mark birthday »

Princess Popoola Shakirat has commemorated her birthday on January 8th, 2024, however, characteristically of the charitable Princess, she ensured that the poor and vulnerable in the society shared in the joy of the day.

Princess Shakirat, an embodiment of generosity, distributed of 50Kg bags of rice and cash to indigent women in Lokoja community.

The items were presented to the widows on behalf of the celebrant by Mr Umar Dan’Assabe Muhammed, a community development enthusiast and friend of the celebrant.

Umar said miss Shakirat who is currently out of the country asked him to mobilise indigent women from different communities in Lokoja to celebrate with her on the occasion of her birthday. Adding that with the little God has blessed her with, she has decided that he is going to touch lives of people.

He said the idea is to put smiles on the faces of indigent elderly women and seek for prayers from them as she believes that prayers from mothers are potent and easily accepted by God.

On their part, the beneficiaries appreciated the celebrant for remembering them and for her kind gesture. They prayed for long life for the celebrant, adding that the food item and cash they received would go a long way in her life and in the life of her children.
