Public Office Holders Association of Nigeria Congratulates New Governor of Kogi State »

The Public Office Holders Association of Nigeria (POHAN), has extended its warm congratulations to the newly sworn-in Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, and his Deputy, Comrade Oyibo.

This was contained in a statement issued on earlier today in Abuja by the leader of the association, Dr. MD Eseyin FPOP FLMI.

POHAN, being the parent umbrella Association for Public Office Holders in Nigeria, both elected and appointed, commended the Governor for his swift action in inaugurating his Council and ensuring that the administration hits the ground running without wasting time.

The Association also used the opportunity to congratulate the immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello CON, for his dedicated service to the state and wishes him success in his future endeavors.

POHAN charged Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and his team to serve as ambassadors of public service, especially in promoting transparency, equity, and justice. The Association encouraged them to uphold the highest standards of conduct and ethics in their service to the people, stressing that welfare and security, as the essence of government, should be prioritized.

POHAN emphasized the importance of safeguarding the lives and properties of the citizens, and urged Governor Ododo and his team to give the issue due attention.

“As the leading Association for public office holders in Nigeria, POHAN remains committed to supporting the government in its efforts to improve the lives of the people of Kogi State. The Association is confident that under the leadership of Governor Ododo, the state will witness significant progress and development.” the statement added.
