“You are Gov Ododo’s Grassroots Trustees Represent us Well” – Kogi SSG Charge LG Secretaries

In a significant show of solidarity and commitment to effective local governance, the Local Government Secretaries from across Kogi State’s 21 Local Government Areas paid a courtesy and familiarization visit to the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Folashade Arike Ayoade (PhD).

The visit was organized to congratulate Dr. Ayoade on her reappointment as the Secretary to the Kogi State Government for the third time. It also served as an opportunity for the secretaries to seek her valuable insights and experiences to enhance their service at the local government level.

The Chairman of the association and Idah SLG, Alhaji Alhaji and Hon. (Prince) Matthew James Omeiza, Secretary of Okehi Local Government Area and the Secretary of the Association of Local Government Secretaries of Nigeria (Kogi State Chapter) in their separate remarks, expressed deep gratitude to Dr. Ayoade for her unwavering commitment to the success of Governor Ododo’s policies, as she had previously done for His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello during his eight-year tenure.

“We are fully dedicated to the mandate given by the good people of Kogi State to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo,” Omeiza affirmed. “We will collaborate closely with everyone to achieve our goals for the benefit of all at the grassroots level.”

In a gesture of appreciation and support, the SLG of Idah, Hon. Alhaji Alhaji, led the secretaries in presenting a token of a roll-up banner to Dr. Ayoade. This token was a symbol of their collective congratulations and unwavering support.

Dr. Ayoade warmly welcomed the Local Government Secretaries and pledged her continued support to ensure their effectiveness in serving the grassroots. Her reaffirmed dedication boosts the confidence of the local government administrators as they work to implement the state government’s policies effectively.

The meeting highlights the ongoing commitment of Kogi State’s leaders to foster cooperation and enhance governance at all levels.
