Unity Football Cup Kicks Off in Olamaboro LGA »

A football competition aimed at fostering unity and promoting sports development is set to begin this Friday 20th December, 2024 in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The event, themed “Olamaboro Unity Football Cup,” is organized by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, to encourage sporting activities, particularly in rural communities.

According to a statement signed by Mr. James Sani, the Information Officer of the Ministry, the tournament will feature teams from the three districts of the local government: Okpo, Imane, and Ogugu.

The public, especially sports enthusiasts, have been invited to attend the opening ceremony, which is scheduled to begin at 3:00pm at QIC field, Okpo, Olamaboro local government area.
