Kogi Youth Commissioner Hosts Strategy Meeting with Advisers, Senior Special Assistants

The Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Honourable Monday Aridaojo Anyebe, has convened a meeting with Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo. The meeting, held at the Commissioner’s office in Lokoja, is a strategic move to strengthen youth development initiatives in Kogi State with focus on implementing the governor’s policies for the benefit of Kogi’s youth.

Honourable Anyebe welcomed the appointees back from the Christmas and new year breaks and expressed gratitude for their support throughout 2024. Reflecting on the Ministry’s achievements over the past year, he praised their contributions and dedication, urging them to sustain their commitment in 2025.

During the meeting, the Commissioner outlined plans for upcoming key events, including a youth townhall meeting and activities to mark Governor Ododo’s one-year anniversary in office. He emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to collaboration and inclusivity, reiterating the open-door policy aimed at fostering innovation and teamwork.

“Our shared goal is to ensure that the governor’s vision for youth empowerment and sports development becomes a reality. I urge you to remain proactive and innovative in your respective roles,” Honourable Anyebe said.

The appointees commended the Commissioner’s leadership, describing him as a model of promptness and dedication. They pledged their continued cooperation and support in actualizing Governor Ododo’s policies, particularly those aimed at empowering the state’s youth.

“This meeting reinforces our collective commitment to the governor’s mandate and we are ready to work closely with you to ensure these initiatives succeed,” they said.
