Hon. Jimoh Fancy Empowers Widows in Lokoja to Mark Governor Ododo’s One Year in Office
The Special Adviser to the Governor of Kogi State on Corporate Affairs, Hon. Jimoh Fancy, has extended support to widows in Ward A, Lokoja Local Government Area through an empowerment program.
The event, held at his residence in Lokoja, saw the distribution of 5kg bags of rice, wrappers, and cash gifts to numerous widows in commemoration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s one year in office.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Jimoh Fancy emphasized the commitment of Governor Ododo’s administration to the welfare of the people, particularly vulnerable groups such as widows. He stated that the empowerment initiative was in line with the state government’s drive to alleviate hardship and improve the quality of life for citizens.
“This initiative is a demonstration of Governor Ododo’s compassionate leadership. We recognize the struggles of widows, and this support is our way of standing with them,” Hon. Fancy said.
The event attracted key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the ward, including the Ward A APC Chairman, Architect Oluyori Femi, Pioneer Kogi State APC Chairman, Hon. Kashim Mabo, Special Adviser to the Governor on Women Affairs, Hajiya Momo Gimba, Special Adviser to the Governor on IDP, Hon. Jibo Ibrahim, Special Adviser to the on job creation, Hon. Abubakar Ataiti (Bozzi), Ward A Youth Leader, the Ward A Councilor, Hon. Folorunsho Samuel (folly) and other party stalwarts who commended the initiative and lauded the governor’s developmental strides within his first year in office.
They described Hon. Jimoh Fancy as a worthy representative of the governor in the local government, adding that his nature of always giving back to the community is greatly appreciated.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the gesture, noting that it would go a long way in easing their financial burdens. They also prayed for the success of the administration, urging the government to continue its people-oriented policies.
