Kogi Youth and Sports Commissioner Celebrates Workers on May Day, Reaffirms Gov. Ododo’s Commitment to Youth Empowerment

Honourable Monday Aridaojo Anyebe, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development in Kogi State, has extended heartfelt congratulations to workers across the state in celebration of Workers’ Day. In a statement released on Thursday, Hon. Anyebe praised the dedication and resilience of Kogi’s workforce, acknowledging their vital role in the state’s development.

“On this special occasion of May Day, I salute the commitment and hard work of all workers in Kogi State,” Hon. Anyebe stated. “Your contributions are the backbone of our state’s progress, and your efforts do not go unnoticed.”

The Commissioner emphasized the importance of youth empowerment and development, highlighting ongoing initiatives aimed at harnessing the potential of young people in the state.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to creating opportunities for youth through sports and skill development programs.

“Our youths are the future of Kogi State. We are dedicated to providing them with the necessary platforms to excel, particularly in sports and other developmental endeavors,” he said. “By investing in our young people, we are securing a prosperous future for our state.”

Hon. Anyebe also commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his support and investment in youth and sports development. He noted that the administration’s focus on upgrading sports facilities, such as the ongoing modernization of the Confluence Stadium, and organizing grassroots competitions across the three senatorial districts, stresses its commitment to nurturing talent and promoting unity through sports.

In closing, the Commissioner called on all stakeholders, including civil servants, community leaders, and private sector partners, to collaborate with the government in its efforts to empower the youth and enhance the state’s development.
