Mopamuro First Lady Commends Kogi State First Lady for Leading Campaign Against Drug Abuse

The First Lady of Mopamuro Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs. Grace Bamitale Bello, has commended the First Lady of Kogi State, Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo, for her bold and proactive leadership in the campaign against drug abuse across the state.

Mrs. Bello praised the initiative, noting that the sensitization campaign will not only promote a safer and healthier environment but will also play a vital role in reducing cases of drug overdose, health complications, and preventable deaths, particularly among Kogi’s youth population.

She further expressed her commitment to replicating the state-wide intervention programs within Mopamuro Local Government, with the aim of enhancing the health and well-being of residents, especially the youth.

The Mopamuro First Lady also used the occasion to call on parents, educators, religious leaders, and community stakeholders to lend their full support to the anti-drug campaign. She emphasized that drug abuse is a societal challenge that affects not only young people but also adults.

Reaffirming her dedication to the cause, Mrs. Bello reiterated her willingness to actively support and participate in all initiatives led by the Kogi State First Lady, particularly those focused on protecting the future of children and empowering the girl child.
