Samuel Aro, whose position as APC senatorial candidate for Kogi West was restored by a court judgment.
Oladele John Nihi, Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor on Youth and Student Matters, has congratulated Hon. Samuel Aro following a court judgment restoring him as the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Kogi West, urging party stakeholders to unite behind him.
Nihi described the judgment as an affirmation of the rule of law and democratic fairness, stressing that political disputes should be resolved through established legal and judicial processes.
Aro’s restoration as the APC candidate marks a significant development in the political contest for the Kogi West senatorial seat, where he is challenging the incumbent senator, Sunday Karimi.
In a congratulatory message, Nihi commended Aro for his courage, resilience and determination to seek justice through the courts.
He said the outcome demonstrated the importance of confidence in democratic institutions and respect for due process in resolving political disagreements.
The governor’s aide called on APC leaders, stakeholders and supporters across Kogi West to set aside personal differences and rally behind Aro following the court decision.
According to him, reconciliation and unity among party members would be crucial to strengthening the APC’s political position in the senatorial district.
Nihi also urged all parties involved in the dispute to respect the court’s decision, noting that the credibility of democratic governance depends on compliance with judicial pronouncements, irrespective of whose interests are affected.
He expressed confidence that Aro would use the opportunity to pursue an agenda focused on effective representation, accountability and the development of Kogi West.
Nihi wished the restored APC candidate success, describing the judgment as an important milestone in his political journey and an affirmation of the principles of justice, fairness and the rule of law.
