Provost KSCOE(T) Commits to Development of Oboroke Study Centre as Ohi of Ihima, Obabanyi of Ohionwa Extol his Leadership Qualities

The Provost of Kogi State College of Education Technical, Mopa, Dr. MK Ibrahim, has received glowing commendations from prominent traditional rulers for his outstanding leadership and dedication to advancing technical education.

On Monday, 11th August 2025, in a bid to strengthen community relations and ensure the sustainability of the College’s Oboroke Ihima Study Centre, Dr. Ibrahim paid courtesy visits to the palaces of the Ohi of Ihima, HRH Alh. Ahmed Ogidi Abdulraheem, who is also the Chairman of Okehi Traditional Council, and the Obabanyi of Ohionwa, HRH Dr. Jimoh Eneji Ahmed.

At the palace of the Ohi of Ihima, discussions centered on sponsorship opportunities for students of the Oboroke Ihima Study Centre. The Ohi commended the establishment of the centre, stressing its importance in promoting technical and vocational education. He assured the Provost of his readiness to mobilize political leaders to provide scholarships for deserving students.

At the Obabanyi’s palace, the traditional ruler, who recounted his long-standing relationship with Dr. Ibrahim, expressed confidence that the Provost would bring the sterling achievements from his former place of work to bear in Mopa. He pledged his maximum support for the College’s progress.

Earlier, at the Oboroke Ihima Study Centre, Dr. Ibrahim met with students to discuss new e-learning initiatives aimed at improving teaching delivery. He assured them of the College Management’s full support for the centre, including partnerships to sponsor indigent students and measures to ensure the continuity of its academic programmes.

Students of the Oboroke Ihima Study Centre expressed gratitude to the Provost for his proactive leadership and commitment to their welfare. The visits reflect the Provost’s dedication to forging strong partnerships with host communities while enhancing access to quality technical education in the region.
