Hon. Fancy, Otokiti, APC Leaders Pay Condolence Visit to Okehi Chairman, Stress Party Unity

The Executive Chairman of Okehi Local Government Area, Hon. Amoka Eneji Monday, on Sunday received a condolence visit from the Kogi State Auditor General for Local Government, Hon. Yakubu Siyaka Adabenege (Fancy), following the death of his mother.

Hon. Adabenege was accompanied by prominent political leaders, including the Member representing Okehi in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Zakaria Otokiti; the Special Adviser on Protocol to the Governor, Hon. Abdulbasit Adarehi; Hon. Ismaila, Personal Assistant to His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo; the Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Hon. Atimah; as well as several other All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwarts.
Speaking during the visit, the Auditor General described the late matriarch as a virtuous and caring mother whose passing is not only a loss to her immediate family but to the entire Okehi community.

He also commended the leadership of former Governor Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, acknowledging the solid foundation he laid for the current administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, and stressed the importance of unity among the people of Okehi for sustainable peace and development.
Also in his tribute,

Hon. Kabiru Ajanah, former Member representing Okehi/Adavi Federal Constituency, described the deceased as a woman who lived a life of impact and community service. He praised Chairman Amoka for his resilience and commitment to duty despite his personal grief.

In his remarks, Hon. Abdulbasit Adarehi, Special Adviser on Protocol, expressed deep sadness over the passing of the Chairman’s mother, whom he described as both a sister and mother figure. He prayed for her peaceful repose.

Responding, Hon. Amoka Eneji Monday thanked Hon. Adabenege and other APC leaders for their show of solidarity and support. He reiterated the importance of unity within the party and urged the people of Okehi to take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise to further strengthen the APC ahead of future elections.

The condolence visit ended with closing prayers offered by Hon. Zakaria Otokiti for the peaceful repose of the departed soul.
