Kogi Deputy Gov Hails Engr. Bashir Gegu at 46 »

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Comrade Joel Salifu, has felicitated with the State Honourable Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Abubakar Bashir Gegu, on his 46th birthday.

In a congratulatory message issued in Lokoja through his press secretary, the Deputy Governor described Engr. Bashir Gegu as a patriotic son of Kogi State, a loyal party man, and a dedicated public servant who has continued to demonstrate uncommon zeal and commitment to the growth and development of the state.

Comrade Joel Salifu noted that as Commissioner, Engr Bashir has brought passion, competence, and focus to the management of the state’s solid mineral resources, complementing the efforts of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, FCA, in diversifying the state’s economy and harnessing its natural deposits for the benefit of the people.

He further commended the celebrant for his humility, accessibility, and uncommon dedication to service, qualities that have endeared him to colleagues, associates, and youths alike.

The Deputy Governor prayed that Almighty God will continue to bless him with good health, wisdom, and grant him many more fruitful years as he continues to serve the State and humanity.
