Zonal Security Adviser Receives Award of Meritorious Service »

It was a remarkable occasion recently in Ankpa as a group known as the One Kogi Foundation honoured the Zonal Security Adviser to the Kogi State Governor for the Ankpa Federal Axis, Rt. Hon. Chief Ahmed Mohammed, with an Award of Meritorious Service at his office.

Earlier, the team leader of the foundation, Mr. Audu Emmanuel, popularly known as “Oma Kogi,” commended the Security Adviser, giving him a “hundred percent” performance rating. He noted that within a short period of his assumption of office, the people of the area have begun to enjoy relative peace.

According to Mr. Audu, the rate of crime and criminal activities has significantly reduced due to the adviser’s vibrant and selfless efforts. He added that his contributions stand out as monumental in the development of the area and encouraged him to maintain the current momentum.

In his response, Rt. Hon. Chief Ahmed Mohammed expressed deep appreciation to the foundation for finding him worthy of the honour. He also extended his gratitude to the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for entrusting him with the responsibility.

The Security Adviser further commended the various local government chairmen for their unwavering support, which he said has contributed greatly to the achievements recorded so far.

Meanwhile, he pledged to recommit and rededicate himself to ensuring a total overhaul of security within his domain, with the goal of achieving a crime-free environment. He affirmed that the award would motivate him to deliver even greater results in his duties.

He also called on all stakeholders to work together, emphasizing that security is everybody’s business.
