Yahaya Bello Describes Death of Hanatu Jibrin Momoh as Personal Loss

Former Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Yahaya Bello, CON, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Hajia Hanatu Jibrin Momoh, the wife of his close associate and former Kogi State Accountant General, Alhaji Jibrin Momoh, describing her death as a profound personal loss.

Bello, who attended the burial prayers at the Gudu Islamic Cemetery on Thursday, offered heartfelt prayers for the peaceful repose of her soul. He described the late Hajia Hanatu as a woman of exceptional virtue, humility, and compassion, whose life was devoted to humanity and the service of Allah. He noted that her kindness, generosity, and strong faith left a lasting impact on all who came in contact with her.

While consoling his close associate, Alhaji Jibrin Momoh, the former governor prayed that Almighty Allah grants him, the immediate family, and all loved ones the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. He further prayed that Allah forgives her shortcomings and grants her Aljannatul Firdaus.

The burial of the late Hajia Hanatu was attended by a large gathering of family members, friends, political associates, and well-wishers. Among those present were distinguished personalities including Senator Jibrin Isah (Echocho), Senator Sunday Karimi, and members of the House of Representatives representing Idah, Lokoja/Kogi (Koto), and Okehi/Adavi Federal Constituencies, Okene/Ogori, members of the state assembly representing Ankpa 1 and Omala constituencies among others.

Also in attendance were members of the Kogi State Executive Council led by the Chief of Staff, Hon. Ali Bello, as well as heads of agencies at both state and federal levels. The turnout reflected the high regard in which the deceased was held and the widespread sympathy extended to the bereaved family during this difficult time.
