Arc. Salman Idris Attends Kabba-Bunu Youth Summit as Special Guest of Honor

Hon. (Arc) Salman Idris, Member representing Ijumu/Kabba-Bunu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, was the Special Guest of Honor at the Kabba/Bunu Youth Summit organized by the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Kabba/Bunu LGA Chapter. He was ably represented at the event by Hon. Oluseyi Kelvin Eleta, the Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Fraud and Internet Matters.

The summit, held at the auditorium of St. Barnabas Secondary School, Kabba, brought together students from secondary schools across the local government area. It served as a platform for young people to engage on issues central to their development and the future of their communities.

Delivering the message of the Honourable Member, Hon. Eleta conveyed Hon. Salman Idris’ strong commitment to youth development, quality education, and community safety. He stressed the importance of collective responsibility in addressing security challenges, noting that lasting safety requires active participation from citizens, particularly young people.

The discussions at the summit, guided by the theme “Security as Everyone’s Business, Education as a Tool for Self-Reliance, and Political Participation as Youth Power,” encouraged students to view education as a practical tool for problem-solving and self-development. Participants were also urged to take a keen interest in civic engagement as a means of shaping their future.

The event provided an opportunity for meaningful dialogue, with students actively participating and exchanging ideas that contribute to personal growth and community progress.

As part of his support for youth-focused initiatives, Hon. Salman Idris made a financial donation to the NYCN Kabba/Bunu LGA Chapter to aid the activities of the association and encourage continued engagement among young people in the area.
