Provost KSCOE (T) Mopa Secures TETFund Support for Completion of Science Complex at KSU Kabba
The Provost of Kogi State College of Education (Technical), Mopa, Professor Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, has facilitated funding for the completion of a Science Laboratory Complex at Kogi State University, Kabba.
In a demonstration of partnership between the two institutions, the Provost leveraged his network to secure funding from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) under its Special Intervention Fund for the completion and furnishing of the complex.
During the official handover of the site to the contractor, the Provost, flanked by the Vice Chancellor of the University, noted that the laboratory complex, which is a Tetfund project initiated in 2021 had remained uncompleted. He explained that he reached out to TETFund to facilitate the release of funds for the completion and equipping of the facility.
Prof. Ibrahim charged the contractor to adhere strictly to the project timeline and maintain high standards in the execution of the work.
In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. K. I. T Eniola, expressed appreciation to the Provost on behalf of the Governing Council for his proactive intervention. He noted that the completion of the project would significantly support the University’s preparations for accreditation. He also commended the Provost for his remarkable achievements in his first year in office.
The contractor, in his response, thanked Tetfund for the opportunity and assured that the project would be delivered within the stipulated time and in line with required quality standards.
