Hon. Eleta Represents Kogi SGS at Stella Heart Foundation Anti-Drug Abuse Campaign Launch at FUL

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Kogi State on Fraud and Internet Matters, Hon. Oluseyi Kelvin Eleta (HOKE), on Saturday represented the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Pst. Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade, Ph.D, at the launch of the Stella Heart Foundation Anti-Drug Abuse Campaign held in commemoration of the 60th Birthday Celebration of renowned academic and Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Lokoja, Professor Gbenga Solomon Ibileye.

The event, which took place at the School Auditorium, Adankolo Campus of the Federal University Lokoja, attracted an impressive gathering of distinguished academics, industry leaders, government officials, students from various secondary schools across Kogi State, as well as friends and family members of the celebrant.

Delivering the goodwill message of the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Hon. Eleta congratulated Professor Ibileye on attaining the milestone age of 60 and commended the Stella Heart Foundation for initiating a campaign aimed at addressing the growing challenge of drug abuse among young people.

He reiterated the commitment of the Kogi State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, to policies and programmes that promote the welfare, education, empowerment, and holistic development of young people across the state.

According to him, the administration remains dedicated to creating opportunities and support systems that will enable young people to realize their full potential while contributing positively to society.

Hon. Eleta also charged the students and youths present at the event to remain focused on their aspirations, embrace positive values, and seek guidance whenever necessary.

“The future belongs to young people who are disciplined, determined, and committed to making meaningful contributions to society. You must believe in yourselves, stay away from negative influences, and remain steadfast in the pursuit of your dreams,” he stated.

While applauding the efforts of the Stella Heart Foundation in combating drug abuse, the Governor’s aide encouraged the Founder of the Foundation, Mrs. Stella Monisola Ibileye, to expand the scope of its interventions to include campaigns against internet fraud and other social vices that continue to threaten the future of many young Nigerians.

He noted that tackling societal challenges affecting young people requires a collective approach involving government institutions, civil society organizations, educational institutions, parents, and community leaders.

Hon. Eleta further conveyed the warm wishes of the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade,Ph.D, to Professor Gbenga Solomon Ibileye and prayed for continued good health, wisdom, and greater accomplishments in the years ahead.

The event featured goodwill messages, youth engagement sessions, and advocacy discussions focused on mental health, personal development, and the dangers associated with substance abuse among young people.
