Yahaya Bello at 51: KSCOE Mopa Provost Lauds Former Kogi Governor’s Impact on Technical Education

The Provost of Kogi State College of Education (Technical), Mopa, Professor Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, has congratulated the former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Adoza Bello, on the occasion of his 51st birthday, describing him as a transformational leader whose legacy continues to shape education and governance in the state.

In a goodwill message issued on behalf of the Governing Council, management, staff, and students of the institution, the Provost extolled the former governor’s leadership qualities, noting that his administration left a lasting imprint on the development trajectory of Kogi State.

He particularly highlighted Bello’s role in the relocation and establishment of Kogi State College of Education (Technical), Mopa, describing it as one of the most impactful decisions that strengthened access to technical and vocational education in the state.

According to him, the initiative has expanded opportunities for young people by equipping them with practical skills in teaching, entrepreneurship, and technical competencies necessary for self-reliance and national development.

Prof. Ibrahim further noted that the growing enrollment and increasing interest in technical education at the college are clear indicators of the success of the policy, which he attributed to the former governor’s foresight in prioritizing human capital development.

He added that the institution remains committed to sustaining the vision by producing skilled graduates capable of contributing meaningfully to society.

The Provost prayed for continued good health, wisdom, and strength for the former governor as he marks the milestone age, wishing him many more years of impactful service to humanity.
