Kogi City Boy Movement Assures PWDs of Inclusion, Empowerment in Kogi
The Kogi State Chapter of the City Boy Movement (CBM) has assured persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Idah of active inclusion in its empowerment initiatives, saying they will be carried along whenever such programmes are undertaken.
The assurance was given when the State Director of the movement, Hon. Mark Ogah Okpanachi, led the CBM leadership to a meeting with members of the Association of Persons with Disabilities, Idah Chapter, as part of the movement’s grassroots engagement across Kogi State.
Speaking on behalf of the association, its Idah Chapter President, Shaibu Ibrahim, appreciated Okpanachi for his accessibility and leadership, while reaffirming the group’s support for the City Boy Movement and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ibrahim called for a stronger partnership between the association and the movement through the active inclusion of persons with disabilities in its programmes. He also appealed for empowerment opportunities to help improve the livelihoods of members of the association.
Responding, Okpanachi thanked the association for its support, prayers and commitment to the ideals of the movement.
He acknowledged the contribution of persons with disabilities to nation-building and said the City Boy Movement, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was committed to promoting an inclusive society.

He assured the group that persons with disabilities would be actively included whenever empowerment initiatives were organised by the movement.
The CBM State Director also encouraged members of the association to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and remain actively involved in the democratic process.
He urged them to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and the APC, arguing that governments committed to inclusive governance are better positioned to improve the welfare of persons with disabilities.
The meeting ended with special prayers by members of the association for Okpanachi, asking for wisdom, strength, divine protection and greater success in his leadership and service to humanity.
Members of the CBM state delegation who accompanied the director included Barr. Victor Apaila, State Legal Adviser; Hon. Blessing Julius Ele-Ojo, State Media and Publicity Director; Hon. Samson Menyaga, State Liaison Officer; Hon. Deborah Omoniwa, State Treasurer; and Hon. Hannah Akubo, Assistant Welfare Officer, alongside other stakeholders and supporters.
