Yahaya Bello Urges Kogi East APC Unity, Grassroots Mobilisation

Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi East Senatorial District to remain united and intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the forthcoming elections.

Bello made the call when the APC candidate for Kogi East Senatorial District, Dr Joseph Erico, led party leaders, stakeholders, delegates and other notable sons and daughters of the district on a courtesy and appreciation visit to his Abuja residence on Sunday.

The delegation visited the former governor to appreciate his leadership, guidance and support before, during and after the party’s senatorial primary, which produced Erico as the APC candidate for the district.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Hon. Edime Edime thanked Bello for what he described as his commitment to the unity, peace and progress of the APC and Kogi State.

Edime also commended the former governor for promoting harmony among the diverse ethnic groups in the state, saying his leadership had contributed to peaceful coexistence and political stability.
He said Erico’s emergence as the APC senatorial candidate reflected the collective aspiration and confidence of the people of Kogi East.

According to him, the delegation considered the visit necessary to recognise Bello’s sacrifices, guidance and support, while assuring him that party leaders, stakeholders, delegates and other members of the district remained united and committed to the party’s success.

Edime further reaffirmed the loyalty of the people of Kogi East to the APC, pledging continued commitment to the values of unity, discipline and collective responsibility.

Responding, Bello thanked the delegation for the visit and congratulated Erico on his emergence as the APC candidate for Kogi East Senatorial District.

The former governor urged APC members to remain peaceful, united and steadfast, stressing that collective effort, harmony and a shared sense of purpose were necessary for the party to achieve greater success at the polls.
