Kogi at 35: Anyebe Urges Youths to Remain United, Patriotic
Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, has called on young people across the state to remain united, patriotic and committed to its collective development as the state marks its 35th anniversary.
Anyebe, in a goodwill message commemorating the 35th anniversary of the creation of Kogi State, described the occasion as an opportunity to celebrate the state’s identity, resilience, diversity and progress over the years.
The Commissioner said the anniversary also provided an opportunity to recognise the vision of the state’s founding fathers and the contributions of successive administrations and citizens to the development of Kogi State.
He said the government remained committed to empowering young people, harnessing their talents, promoting sports development and creating opportunities for youths to contribute meaningfully to the growth and prosperity of the state.
Anyebe commended the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for what he described as his commitment to youth empowerment, peace, security and inclusive development.
“As Kogi State marks 35 years, I call on all citizens, especially our vibrant youth, to remain united, patriotic and committed to the collective advancement of our dear state,” he said.
The Commissioner extended his goodwill to the government and people of Kogi State, expressing hope that the state would continue to grow in peace, prosperity and greatness.
