The Member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Sani Egidi Abdulraheem, has thrown his weight behind the Governor Ododo All Campus Games 2026, describing the initiative as a laudable platform for youth development and sports talent discovery.

Abdulraheem gave the endorsement on Tuesday in Abuja when he received members of the organizing committee of the Governor Ododo All Campus Games 2026 during a courtesy visit to his office.

The lawmaker expressed delight at the opportunity to interact with the organizers and gain deeper insight into the vision behind the inter-tertiary sports festival, which is expected to bring together students from 13 tertiary institutions across Kogi State.

According to him, the initiative goes beyond sporting competitions, as it has the potential to promote talent discovery and development, youth engagement, empowerment, unity and peaceful coexistence among young people across the state.

He said he was particularly encouraged by the commitment of the organizers to building the All Campus Games into a sustainable platform capable of identifying, nurturing and promoting emerging sporting talents in Kogi.

“Beyond the games and competitions, it represents an investment in the young people of Kogi State, giving them an avenue to showcase their abilities, build meaningful relationships and contribute to the development and positive image of our state,” the lawmaker stated.

Abdulraheem further said the initiative represented a worthwhile investment in the future of Kogi youths, noting that sporting platforms could provide young people with opportunities to develop their abilities while fostering stronger relationships across tertiary institutions.

The federal lawmaker consequently pledged his support for the initiative, saying he was pleased to identify with the work being championed by the organizers under the leadership of the Kogi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.

He commended the leadership and members of the organizing committee for their dedication, vision and service to sports and youth development in the state.

The endorsement adds Abdulraheem to the growing list of stakeholders backing the Governor Ododo All Campus Games 2026, as organizers intensify engagements with key individuals and institutions ahead of the inter-tertiary sporting festival.

The Governor Ododo All Campus Games is designed to unite students across Kogi State’s tertiary institutions through competitive sports while creating opportunities for talent discovery, youth engagement and peaceful interaction.
