Abubakar Ohere Replaces Zacharias as Kogi RTIFN Coordinator
Abubakar Ohere has been appointed Kogi State Coordinator of Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria.
Former Kogi State Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs, Abubakar Ohere, has been appointed the new Kogi State Coordinator of Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN), replacing Idris David Zacharias.
The appointment was announced as part of a restructuring of the movement’s leadership in Kogi State and the North Central region, with RTIFN also appointing Idris Oando as Deputy Kogi State Coordinator and Okehi Local Government Area Chairman, Amoka Eneji Monday, as Director of Liaison, North Central.
Ohere’s appointment is expected to see him coordinate the movement’s grassroots and stakeholder engagements across Kogi State.
Presenting the appointment letters at the RTIFN office in Maitama, Abuja, the Director-General of the movement, Ahmed Bala, charged the new officials to justify the confidence placed in them and use their experience and networks to strengthen RTIFN structures in Kogi and the North Central region.
The changes follow Zacharias’ recent movement to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), where he is pursuing his political ambitions, including another term in the House of Representatives, according to the statement announcing the appointments.
The presentation ceremony was witnessed by former Kogi State Deputy Governor, Edward Onoja; Zack Orji; Hajiya Aishat Oyiza Omade; and other national and state officials of RTIFN.
RTIFN has previously undertaken grassroots mobilisation and town hall activities in different parts of Nigeria as part of its political engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Meanwhile, the new Kogi RTIFN leadership is scheduled to be formally inaugurated on October 12, 2026, during a Town Hall and Stakeholders’ Engagement in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
The event is expected to bring together RTIFN leaders, political stakeholders, community leaders, coordinators, youth and women groups, as well as other grassroots stakeholders.
According to the statement, the new leadership will begin engagements with stakeholders and grassroots structures across Kogi State’s 21 local government areas, while also working to strengthen the movement’s coordination in the North Central region.
RTIFN describes itself as a grassroots group supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda and mobilising communities around President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
