KGSG to rebuild abandoned Igala Hall in Anyigba


Kogi State government has pledged its commitment towards the reconstruction of the abandoned Igala Hall in Anyigba to enhance efforts towards the cultural identity of the people of Eastern Senatorial District of the State.

The Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Hon Edward Onoja recently made the promise during the inauguration ceremony for the new members of executive of the Igala Cultural and Development Association held in Anyigba.

Hon Onoja, who was represented at the occasion by the newly elected provost, Simon Ujah, praised the body for their unalloyed commitment towards the preservation of the Igala Culture and transmission to the younger generation.

He said the government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello is committed towards encouraging the people of the state towards expressing their cultural identity and harmonious relationship within and among them.

The efforts towards rebuilding project which Hon Onoja  promised was going to be borne by himself, appointees and support by the state government, was geared towards providing a befitting edifice for the body.

While calling for continuous support of the people towards the programmes of the New Direction Blueprint that has been hatched by Governor Bello, he said the governor's intention is to see to the overall transformation of the state.
