Kogi APC Campaign DG extracts developmental commitments from Eastern Senatorial candidates

Director General, Kogi State Campaign Council for the All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon Edward Onoja has expressed the need for the party's candidates to be comityed to the course of overwhelming victory for the party in all elections. 

He made the call on Sunday in Anyigba during the Kogi East APC Stakeholders meeting to concertise strategies for the polls.

Onoja said party candidates that enjoy popular support of APC leadership in the state having emerged through a transparent process, it was important they reciprocate by demonstrating commitment to the overall development of Kogi East and the success of the APC and  government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

The Director General who opined that the development drive of the APC formed some of the qualities that has endeared her to the masses, noted that unlike what was obtainable in other parties, APC candidates must continue to make themselves available to the people when elected. 

Onoja called on the candidates to be united and come up with an acceptable modalities for the regular funding that would be set aside for developmental projects for the benefits of the masses. 

He says; “The era of diaspora representation is over; the era of running solo is gone. We are one,  and must unite to deliver massive development to Igala/Bassa people. We must make this commitment before everyone and stand by it.”

Zonal Chairman of the party in Kogi East, Hon Ahmed Attah had in a separate remark, stressed that APC in Kogi East was a united family set to deliver victory to all candidates of the party from top to bottom.

The stakeholders meeting was held to formally announce the timetable for the zonal campaigns of the party.

Present at the meeting was Alhaji (Dr) Jibril Isah Echocho, the Senatorial candidate for Kogi East and other for House of Representatives and the State House of Assembly respectively.
