Kogi Assembly Deputy Speaker begins jamboree project comissioning for constituents

The Deputy Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Abdullahi Hassan has begun a week long project commissioning that cut across all units and wards that make up his Dekina II and Okura State Constituency.
True to the line up made available to Inside Story by the legislator, Tuesday saw the commissioning of motorized  borehole projects at Alade-Egume, Okagwu, Egboje, Efakwu Egwume, Agbenema and Agala Ogane in Okura constituency.
In his remarks while commissioning the projects to the gratitude of his constituents, the Deputy Speaker described potable water as a source of quality life for the people, hence his resolve to ensure they have access to it in abundance. 
Abdullahi added that the projects were in fulfillment of his campaign promises to the people and pledged to do more. 
He described potable water as a major challenge to most communities in his constituency and described the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, as a man who has the best interest of his people at heart,  a gesture which he said informed the provision of constituency allowance to lawmakers. 
The Deputy Speaker assured the people that he would make efforts to ensure the provisions of other amenities lacking in the communities he has provided with portable water. 
In his remarks, the Administrator for Dekina Local Government Area, Kabir Idris promised to provide Alade community with the needed teachers as part of his contribution to the growth of the area. 
He also praise the genuine love that the legislator has continued to show his people which has led to the various projects being commissioned, especially water,  saying the people have suffered over lack of quality drinkable water in the past. 
Speaking, Kogi state commissioner for Rural development, Paul Enema said the present administration would continue to provide the needed development in communities across d state. 
Mr Enema stated that the provision of water for the  communities was in line with the development strategy of Yahaya Bello Government christened New Direction. 
The commissioner called for continued support for the APC led administration to enable the people enjoy more gains of democracy. 
In a remark the APC Zonal Youth leader, Ahmed Attah promised to contribute his quota to the growth of the areas by providing them with addituonal dividends of democracy,  and called for sincerity of purpose and determination towards ensuring continuity of the present government. 
The representatives of the various  benefiting communities all expressed appreciation to the Deputy Speaker and described the gesture as a departure from the past as government never remembered them after elections.
