Osinbajo warns against religious crisis in Jos

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo on Monday warned stakeholders in Plateau State not to allow religious crisis to occur in the country, stating that no country in the world has ever survived a religious crisis.

He made this statement in Jos the State capital, while commiserating with the people of the state, Following the recent attacks that claimed the lives of scores of people in some communities in Plateau State.

The reported killings in the state which has drawn so much public attention, saw the Vice president visiting the state to pay a condolence visit

The Vice president while addressing Stakeholders from the affected communities in Jos emphasised that the country must be shielded from religious crisis which often becomes uncontrollable.

He advised that such occurrence should not continue, as the country would have the kind of crisis that no country in the world has ever survived.

Osinbajo urged all the leaders to show more restraint especially in their utterances.
He warned that nobody could survive a religious war, and further beckoned on community leaders to ensure that such situation was brought to a lasting peace.
