The Senate is investigating the alleged lopsided recruitment at the Department of State Services (DSS), following public outcry in the country.
Chairman of the Senate Committee on Federal Character, Senator Tijjani Yahaya Kaura (APC, Zamfara) who stated this during plenary yesterday said his committee was probing the matter.
He assured that his committee would ensure that justice was done. Kaura also said that there are issues with other agencies regarding compliance to the federal character law.
Senate President Bukola Saraki commended the committee for looking into the matter saying, “We have taken note of this. I’m happy that you are looking at it. I hope you will keep us abreast.”
Our correspondent report that there have been allegations that the latest recruitment into the DSS was skewed in favour of a section of the country.
