Senator Dino Melaye Arrested
The senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Dino Melaye, has been reportedly arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja on his way to Morocco.
It was learnt that the senator and other passengers had boarded the plane and the aircraft was about to taxi when policemen were said to have stopped the take-off, asking the passengers to disembark from the plane.
Dino Melaye who announced his arrest through his twitter handle wrote;
''I have just been arrested at the international wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport on my way to Morocco for an official engagement sponsored by the Federal Govt after checking in''.
Recall he was declared wanted by the Kogi state police command for allegedly sponsoring a criminal group that terrorises Kogi state, something he has vehemently denied.
