Trump moves to end Visa Lottery

United State President, Donald Trump has signalled his intention to bring to an end the Visa lottery programme that brings immigrants to his country.
The American President had in few days ago condemned the immigration programme in a state of the nation’s address before the Congress at the Capitol Hill.
Trump in his twitter handle on Friday reiterated his position and indicated his intention to put an end to it. His tweet read “Time to end the visa lottery”
He also called on the Congress to secure America through reasonable immigration system, citing a Justice Department crackdown, on a recipient of the scheme who abused resident status and was engaged in financially supporting terrorist activities in Iraq from the US.
Trump who linked his tweet message with a press release from the Justice Department, indicating a Sudanese national who gained lawful permanent resident status in the State, through the “Diversity Visa Lottery Programme” but was linked to the funding of a well-recognised terrorist group in Iraq and some other places.
The press release by the Justice Department further explained that his residency allowed him to run a Non-Governmental Agency, named the Islamic American Relief Agency, which helped send financial support to the identified terrorist organisation.
